AWT_Lib, the Advanced Water Treatment Library is used for modeling a wide range of water treatment systems. It supports both design and off-design analysis.

With the Water Treatment Library, the user can design and analyze any water treatment plant, including:

  • Municipal drinking water production from ground and surface water sources
  • Seawater desalination
  • Industrial process water production from ground, surfaceand used water sources
  • Industrial and municipal waste water treatment
  • Water reclamation

The non-water compounds in the water mixtures are described based on the chemical nature (inorganic/organic) and its physical state (dissolved/suspended).

Special monitor units are avaliable to calculate:

  • pH value and several mineral solubilities based on electrolyte thermodynamics
  • Correlation of different parameters describing the organic load (TOC/COD/BOD/PM)

The library supports both design of new plants as well as analysis and optimization of existing plants.
